Understanding Life’s Challenges
Have you ever thought; Life seams to be so unfair. I have! It appears, the good suffer while the bad prosper, or the good die young while a lot of evil people seem to live on forever. Many times such thinking, comes as a result of our difficult moments or a tragedy. Paul, views these issues in a much different manner than many and by doing so he gives us a clearer understanding into the plan of God.
In this recorded episode of Paul’s life, he was confronted by some common struggles, the aging process and the possibility of death, yet he could still say, “our outward man is perishing, yet the inner man is being renewed day by day” (2 Corinthian 4:17-18). To the carnal mind this is impossible to understand, yet to the spiritual mind it becomes our life’s mission, to glory in our troubles. The Work of God is to constantly restore, revive and renew our spirits!
When we become discouraged, it helps to step back and get a broader perspective on our lives.
Paul examines the light and momentary troubles of this existence with the eternal glory of the new creation, which far outweighs everything. Once we have raised our mind in heavens direction, a thousands years begin to look to be like a moment and then what ever we experience seems small when it’s compared properly.
It was not that Paul viewed suffering as “a good thing” he saw suffering for what it was, painful and agonizing. However, troubles and our pains are a part of God’s plan for us too cause us to fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen.
This life, with all it brings, is a preparation for our true destiny, an eternal glory that far outweighs all! So ultimately to the believer, everything we experience has a purpose. It’s all worth it, so Be Encouraged!
