Yes, You Can! This phrase and others like it are often used as encouragements to others when things get tough. All of us understand that life is a struggle at best. At times, it is downright difficult. What to do? The Old Testament prophet Habakkuk informs us of the best available help. Hab 3:17-19 17 Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, 18 Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. 19 The Lord God is my strength, And He has made my feet like hinds’ feet, And makes me walk on my high places. (NASU) When promises fail, production falters, pursuits become fallacies, protection fizzles, and there appears to be not much promise for the future, remember that the Lord God is our strength; He stands us up, and He sets our direction. In spite of all the perplexities of life, He is The God of My Prosperity and we are able to persevere!
