My Help Comes from the Lord
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE: Psalm 121 I will lift up my eyes to the hills from whence comes my help? 2 My help comes from the Lord who made heaven and earth. 3 He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. 5 The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand. 6 The sun shall not strike you by the day, nor the moon by night. 7 The Lord shall preserve you from all evil; He shall preserve your soul. 8 The Lord shall preserve your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and even forevermore.
A WORD OF ENCOURAGEMENT: When you are in need or going through, who first comes into your mind? Is it God? God wants us to always remember to come to Him first. He is the true source of help that we need. He is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you. He is the problem solver and the way maker. You can depend on Him and trust Him to do what He has promised to do. Nothing is too difficult for God. Always call on the Lord for the help that you need. Remember how He brought you through your last trial, and maybe it looked like a hopeless situation, but God somehow tuned it around for you. When you keep your eyes on Jesus, it is a sign of your faith and expectancy in Him which will cause doors to open, mountains to move, and chains to be broken. So, trust Him for the outcome, because He knows what is best for you.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heavenly Father, today I make a choice to look to You for my help no matter what I may be faced with or going through. I will wait in faith and with great expectation, relying on your strength and guidance to see me through. Thank you for all of your help and all that you do, in Jesus name. Amen.
